ABOUT THE FORAGE MAT

Make the finding
part of the fun.

Hide a few pieces of their usual dry food among the folds. A simple way to turn treat time into a supervised search together.

Small folds. Plenty to explore.

Layers of earth-toned fabric create places to tuck small rewards. Start with the food easy to see, then use a few more folds as your dog learns the game.

17.7 × 17.7 in

45 × 45 cm. Use under supervision; remove it if your dog begins chewing the fabric.

Using the Forage Mat
  1. Set aside a little food

Use a few pieces from their normal daily allowance and place the mat where you can supervise.

  2. Make the first finds easy

Start with food near the top of the folds. Let their nose find the reward.

  3. Follow their interest

Hide a few pieces farther into the folds as they learn. Put the mat away if they start chewing the fabric.

GOOD TO KNOW

Before you choose.

What should I put in it?

Use a few pieces of your dog’s usual dry food or suitable dry treats. Count them within their normal daily allowance.

Is it a chew toy?

No. Stay with your dog during each session, and remove the mat if they start chewing or a piece becomes loose.

How do we start?

Place a few pieces where they are easy to see. Let your dog approach voluntarily, then introduce the folds gradually.
